Acid and alkaline foods in the pH miracle diet

The main concept behind the pH miracle diet is to maintain a balance of pH in the foods that you eat. The human body is slightly alkaline and therefore it is better for your health to eat a diet composed of alkalizing foods. When you eat too many acidic foods, your system becomes unbalanced and it can cause a whole host of problems, including weight gain, poor concentration, fatigue and depressed immunity that can lead to more serious conditions.

The pH miracle diet relies on lists of foods that are acidic (to be avoided) and alkalizing (to be emphasized). The alkalizing foods are better for your health and help to balance the pH of your body. While acid, alkaline and pH are common terms, many people do not understand exactly what they mean and what they have to do with nutrition and health.

The word “basic” comes from the Greek word “basis” which means foundation. “Basic” relates to the properties of acidity and alkalinity. These conditions are determined at the foundation of the cells that the foods are made up of. So an external treatment does not change a food from acid to alkaline. Foods are acid or alkaline at their base, or foundation.

Acid and alkaline are chemical opposites. Whenever these bases interact with acids, there is a struggle between them and salt is the result. In the chemist’s lab, these interactions are very simple and straightforward. However, in our bodies, the interaction becomes more complex because of the scale at which acids and bases meet.

However, science can make some generalizations about the effects of acids and alkaline in the human digestion system. Acidic foods are acid forming in the human body. They make blood, lymph and saliva more acid and cause a lower pH number. Alkaline foods make blood, lymph and saliva more alkaline and cause a higher pH number.

Just for reference, the “normal” range for saliva pH is between 7.3 and 7.4. Most people, however, are too acidic and have a pH that is much lower. They are burned out, tired and their bodies are starving for balance. Under the influence of acidic foods the muscles fatigue easily. You literally slow down because your body cannot produce the same physical results as before.

The free radical oxidation that occurs when you eat acidic foods makes you age faster. Vitamins and minerals are not absorbed as readily. Friendly bacteria in the small intestine die, which puts the digestive system off balance. Further hurting the function of the intestine is the fact that a high level of acidity inhibits the ability for intestinal walls to absorb nutrients. Cells become stressed with the toxins that build up and cannot remove them. The vast majority of bodily systems cannot run at full capacity.

On the other hand, alkaline foods have a wide variety of benefits to your health. Eating them improves your muscle output. They also have antioxidant effects in the body. They increase assimilation at the cellular level and allow cells to operate in the manner that they should. There is a reduction of parasites and yeast overgrowth with the use of alkaline foods. Alkaline foods promote deeper and more restful sleep, more youthful skin and relieve suffering from colds, headaches and the flu. Alkaline foods promote abundant physical energy.

Perhaps the most important differences between acid and alkaline foods are their relationship to cancer. Cancerous tissues are acidic, and health tissues are alkaline. When oxygen enters an acidic solution it combines with hydrogen ions can form water. Oxygen helps to neutralize the acid, but acid prevents oxygen from reaching tissues where it is needed. When oxygen enters an alkaline solution, the two hydroxyl ions combine with the solution to create one water molecule and one oxygen atom. The sole oxygen atom is free to go to the next cell and bring the benefits of oxygen to all of the tissue in the body. At a pH of slightly above 7.4, cancer cells become dormant. Studies show that at pH 8.5, cancer cells die and healthy cells live.

Alkalizing the diet has many benefits, in addition to cancer prevention. The alkaline food list is a selection of choices that will benefit your health when you start incorporating them into your body.

The way to cure Obesity is not always by lowering your Daily Calories, and here’s why…

Haven’t you ever wondered why some people are naturally overweight while other people can remain skinny while eating twice as much?

The truth is that your total “daily calories” is not the deciding factor in whether you’re overweight or skinny.

You see, there are 3 main types of calories that you can eat each day.

First, there is protein…

Next, there are carbohydrates (carbs)…

And finally there are fat calories…

The truth is that your body doesn’t pay attention to how many daily calories are eaten, but rather your body pays attention to how much of EACH TYPE of calorie that you consume.

For example, if you eat too many sugar based calories (sugar is common in fat free foods) then your body won’t be able to use all of those sugar calories, and the excess calories will be stored as fat tissue.

This can happen even if you didn’t eat very many daily calories, because if you eat too many “wrong” calories then you’ll get fat.

This is why many obese people remain overweight their whole lives even though they eat less than some of their skinny friends and family members.

…And it doesn’t have to be this way, because even though it’s true that some people have slower metabolisms (and suffer from obesity) they can still get just as skinny as their friends if they just learn to EAT THE RIGHT TYPES OF CALORIES EACH DAY.

You see, your body needs protein, carbs and fat calories too.

Your body needs all 3 types of calories, but it does not need them all in the same proportions at every meal.

Certain types of fat calories can speed up weight loss believe it or not, while other types of “fat free foods” will actually make you overweight if you eat them too often.

Why else do you think that losing weight is so difficult?

Why else do you think that our society is suffering from a serious obesity problem which is getting worse?

It’s because the ANSWER to weight loss is the OPPOSITE of what most people think.

Most average people have been brought up to believe that eating “fat” is bad and that eating “fat free foods” is healthy.

That may “seem” logical at first, but in reality the opposite is often true.

Eating “fat” does not automatically turn to fat tissue on your body, and eating “fat free” does not automatically cause weight loss to happen either.

To begin losing weight you must realize this fact and open your mind to a new way of dieting.

If you want to lose weight fast then you must learn to eat foods which have fat burning properties, and these are foods which keep your blood sugar level more stable throughout the day.

You see, if you eat foods which cause your blood sugar level to spike upwards too sharply then you’ll feel “energetic” for a short while — but then afterwards your blood sugar level will drop way too low and you’ll feel tired and lethargic for the rest of the day.

The higher your blood sugar rises after a meal, then the lower it will drop afterward. …And when it drops you’ll feel tired and hungry all over again.

This is why obese people often suffer from “highs and lows” in their energy level.

But if you begin eating fat burning foods (which keep your blood sugar level stable throughout the day) then your energy will be steady all day long, you’ll have plenty of energy and you won’t ever feel tired of lethargic.

Also, when your blood sugar level is kept stable then your body’s natural fat burning engine will begin burning more fat tissue. That’s why these are called “fat burning foods”.

Thank you.

5 Great Tips On Losing Weight

Everyone you talk to seems to have dozens of tips on losing weight. Some are good common sense tips, but some seem to come out of left field.

Even people who can’t seem to successfully Lose weight and keep it off, seem happy to offer up tips and advice to other people.

That’s a pretty good indication that many of us know the best advice and tips on losing weight, but we just don’t follow them very well.

Here are some tips which, if you use them in your daily journey toward losing weight, can help you.

Use smaller plates.

This is one of those tips on losing weight that often makes people roll their eyes.

It has nothing to do with eating or exercise, but it really does trick your mind into thinking you’re eating more food.

A smaller plate will look fuller than a large plate if they have the same amount of food on them.

You might even naturally put less food on the smaller plate, to keep it from looking so loaded down.

It’s a mental trick, but you should try it because it works for many people.

Eat slowly.

This is one of the oldest and most popular tips on losing weight.

Have you ever watched a speed-eating contest?

Imagine someone eating the same amount of food as the winner, but imagine them eating it slowly.

The champion may have scarfed down 20 pies in very little time.

Could you actually sit down with a fork and slowly eat 20 pies?

It’s not likely.

The speed eater ate so fast, his body didn’t even have time to scream, “STOP, I’M FULL!”

And if it had, he was only focused on putting more and more food in, just as we are when we’re “starving” and we gulp down our food.

Eat slowly and you’ll reach a pleasant feeling of fullness rather than the one that means you’ve eaten too much too fast.

Watch your portion sizes.

If fried chicken is your favorite, you might start out with 2 or 3 pieces on your plate.

Try grabbing one small piece instead, and filling up on salad or green veggies to replace those missing pieces of chicken.

Try to keep a portion of food about the size of your fist.

Those mashed potatoes that you don’t want to give up?

Still eat them, but stop after one small portion, instead of piling a mountain on your plate.

Don’t clear your plate.

Of all the tips on losing weight, this one is often the hardest. As children we were taught not to turn down food because other people were starving.

We might have even gotten punished for “wasting food” and forced to eat it.

You’re not starving, and you can’t send that food to those who are, so do yourself a favor and don’t eat it.

To avoid the guilt of wasting food, use another one of the good tips on losing weight and simply start out with less food on your plate next time.

Doctor?

An acquaintance of mine who is a physician told this story about her then-four-year-old daughter.

On the way to preschool, the doctor had left her stethoscope
on the car seat, and her little girl picked it up and began playing with it.

“Be still, my beating heart,” thought my friend, “my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps!”

Then the child spoke into the instrument: “Welcome to McDonald’s.

May I take you order?”

Myth #1 – You Have to Do Cardio in the Morning on an Empty Stomach in order to Burn Fat

There is no fat loss magic to doing cardio on an empty stomach. In fact, most trainers “in-the-know” are using intervals instead of slow, boring cardio to help their clients burn fat fast. Plus, who wants to be doing boring cardio at 6am while their stomach is rumbling? If you could find better home fitness workouts to burn fat, wouldn’t you do those instead?

Myth #2 – You Have to Do Cardio in the Fat Burning Zone

By exercising in the fat burning “Zone”, as some folks like to call it, you only burn a few extra calories than if you weren’t doing any exercise at all! Slow, boring cardio workouts are not the best way to lose belly fat. If you truly want to change your body, you need to use short, burst exercise home fitness workouts.

Myth #3 – You Have to Do Cardio 7 Days Per Week

You don’t need to workout everyday. The truth is, you only need to do 3 short home fitness workouts per week of 45 minutes.

Myth #4 You Have to Do Cardio for at Least 20 Minutes Before You Start Burning Fat

We’re burning fat all the time, even while you sit here and read this message. Sure, exercise increases our fat burning, but it’s not as though the first 20 minutes of any workout don’t burn fat. That makes no sense at all! I’ll show you how the short, burst exercise system helps you achieve more fat loss in less than half the time of a regular cardio workout.

Myth #5 – You Can’t Lose Fat and Gain Muscle at the Same Time

Scientific research and my experience says, “Yes, you can!” A recent study found that men and women can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time if they use a component of my Turbulence Training system.

Get ready to discover the short, burst exercise system that will help you boost your metabolism, increase your fat loss, and burn belly fat, and then make your choice below…

    Hi Zähne Bleachen.
I would recommend WordPress. It’s easy to install on your Host or if you prefer – you could sign up with WordPress directly (if you don’t have your own Website) to try it out.
    Or Blogspot.com.
    Hope this helps. John.
